The weather headlines for the next week — Times are changing… literally. Hopefully, the time change is not too significant of an issue for you. We only really feel the difference when getting the kids home from school, and it’s getting dark already. For this week into the weekend, there are a couple of systems that will impact the country. The Pacific Northwest has more rainfall (and snow in the mountains) ahead. Texas and the Southern Mississippi have some rain on the way, too - much needed in many cases. Temperatures, well, they’ll cool, but nothing significantly cold in that department for the next several days. However, there will be several record highs set early this week.

Out of that activity we will have heavy rainfall totals over the Pacific NW and for some in Texas. Here’s a look at the expected “rain gauge” for the week ahead.

Some of that will fall in the form of snow, but confined to higher elevations and in extreme northern North Dakota, eh, to New England.

There will be a change in temperatures ahead, turning more seasonal for many - if you will. Early in the week though, several record highs may be set. Here’s that map:

The tropics are quiet… perhaps the time change - I’m joking, of course… the season is nearly done, and I’m okay without a major hurricane on the map right now.
